The Gertner Institute is a public benefit corporation that provides a national research framework for epidemiology and health policy in Israel. It is located at the Chaim Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer, Israel, and is affiliated to Tel Aviv University's School of Medicine. The Gertner Institute comprises six scientific units, including the Cancer and Radiation Epidemiology Unit that operates the TNUDA center, a Biostatistics Unit and a Computer Center. The Institute's main aim is to assist the Israeli health system and the Israeli Ministry of Health in formulating and developing an informed health policy. |
