Is there any health risk?

A slight increase in overall exposure is expected as the fifth generation technology comes into use, but the exposure is still expected to be low and within ICNIRP’s limitations. Therefore, public health effects are not expected. The ICNIRP guidelines refer to frequencies up to 300 GHz which are well below the maximum frequencies expected from the 5th generation. The Public Health Authority is committed to monitor safety of technology involving radiation at radio frequency range. If necessary, the authority will change its attitude in accordance to the latest scientific knowledge. The government continues to support research in this field. The Public Health Authority recommends adopting the precautionary principle.
